The Lord's Prayer (Level 1 Memorization)

We encourage children to memorize these three important levels at Independent Presbyterian Church:

Level One – The Ten Commandments, Apostles’ Creed, and the Lord’s PrayerLevel Two – The Children’s CatechismLevel Three – The Shorter Catechism

Children work independently to master these levels, and recite to the Sunday School Director, an elder, or a pastor. Recognition in the worship service is given to each child for their accomplishment.

Children are also encouraged to memorize our hymns and Psalms of the month, developing a familiarity and love for the music of the Church through the ages.
