Our Summer evening services are held at our property on Talahi Island known as Point Pleasant, from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Point Pleasant is located at 441 Suncrest Blvd. Savannah, Georgia 31410 (15 minutes east of downtown Savannah, toward Tybee Island). All year long, our Sunday morning programs (Sunday school and worship) continue to be held at our downtown campus located at 207 Bull Street (Corner of Oglethorpe and Bull).
Singing begins at 5:15 p.m. and worship at 5:30. The facility will open at 4:00 p.m. for appropriate Lord’s Day leisure activities for the family. Please note that not all forms of recreation are consistent with the Fourth Commandment, but only those which directly promote one’s appreciation and love of God and His Word and works. Consequently, please show what previous generations called “Sabbath restraint” in all your activities. We also wish to urge you that the informality of the setting not lead to inappropriate or immodest attire. Please, no short shorts, bathing suits, halter tops, or strapless tops should be worn in the worship service. It is important that we dress in a manner that befits such occasions that are meant to sanctify the people of God. Our dress should aim to please God and reflect our identity as a “royal priesthood, a chosen nation and a people belonging to God”….in the world, but not of it.
Following the 5:30 worship, we have a fellowship meal; it’s $3 for children, $4 for college students and high school students, $5 for adults, $16 max per family.
